Stage 2: Naturopathic nutritional therapist course content

Understanding this qualification from the Natural Healthcare College

.

Upon successful completion of Stage One (the 6 modules of our Nutrition Advisor course), you will receive a Nutrition Advisor diploma, entitling you to apply to register at that level with the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA) and to use the relevant designatory letters awarded by the NNA. You will then be able to progress to Stage Two’s Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy course (incorporating Clinical Practice) – a second 6 modules. Clinical Practice training includes written assignments and 50 hours of practical experience at tutorials and some Skype calls.

Our course will teach you more than nutrition. In order to give effective  recommendations it’s vital to understand how the human body functions and how its different systems interact with one another (anatomy and physiology). Our integration of this information at strategic points is aimed to help students associate the structure and functions of the body in relation to how inappropriate diet and lifestyle can cause disruption of normal processes (pathology). Whilst science does not have to be your strongpoint it is essential that you have some science training ( a minimum of one science GCSE or equivalent). This isn’t the chemistry and physics we learn at school. In relation to the human body, anatomy and physiology are fascinating subjects and their inclusion is aimed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the profound effects nutrients have on us all.

“The course has been really well designed. It encompasses so many different aspects of nutritional therapy. This, combined with comprehensive and really interesting tutorials and Jackie’s vast amount of knowledge, leaves you feeling that you’ve learnt everything you needed to know to pass the qualification, set up in practice, and much more.”
